Personality: Tends to come off as cool and easy-going, tending to brush off most comments and hold herself in higher regard than most. However, she shows she is quite competitive, even taking innocent jokes as challenges if she feels her abilities are questioned. She cares deeply for her Pokemon, and dedicates her time to raising them to the best of their potential, which is why she keeps a modest and varied collection, and rotates them ever so often. Tending to favor dragon types for their majesty and flexibility, she is well-rounded in different areas of strategy and trusts her Pokemon to make the best judgments in battle. She’s not very easy to get along as far as personal relationships are concerned, keeping a distant demeanor, but becomes a great friend once she’s warmed up to them.

Brief History: Jemilie is a long-time world traveler, having been to various regions all over and competing in different tournaments. Upon touching down on the Saros Region, she initially wished to visit Ladon to further her knowledge in dragon types, but was convinced by her Blaziken Ra to remain in Corus, finding the rough unrelenting atmosphere to be a refreshing challenge to his skills. Reluctantly agreeing, she eventually came to admire the town’s unique culture despite its local’s sometimes harsh lifestyle, seeing the underlying unity they valued and expressed in their brilliant festivals.
After about a year staying in town and making friends and rivals, she heard of the massive Sixfold Tournament taking place and decided to put her name in the hat for a chance of representing the town for the championship.

Misc: Used to have long hair; she cut it short while staying in Corus due to heat and…training regimens.

-Met a rival trainer named Cain Uran during her stay and became good friends despite the man's terse personality, serving to balance it out with her own optimistic demeanor. While being sympathetic to his recent tragedy, she helps him move on urges him to be more outgoing and taking part in the tournament. Though thanks to Jemilie's own competitive nature, their friendly arrangement turned to rivalry as they see who would be the top trainer to represent Corus in the grand tournament.

POKEMON:

Name: Garuda Ra

Species: Blaziken

Gender: Male

Nature: Rash

Characteristic: Basically, a huge jerk- the kind that does what he wants and flips the bird to anyone that tells him otherwise. He and his trainer hold a sort-of love/hate bond- while he’ll take every opportunity to make Jemilie’s life harder than it needs to be, he respects her enough to help her reach her goals. He rarely cooperates with most of Jemilie’s Pokemon and prefers fighting alone, with Sköll being one of the few exceptions, as he treats her as a sort of protégé for his own rough n’ tumble style of fighting.

Ability: Blaze – In dire circumstances, Fire type moves are empowered

Moveset: Endure, Reversal, Shadow Claw, Overheat

Misc: Ra is an oddball in his clutch, carrying a gene that made his red coloring hyperpigmentated and much darker to other Blaziken in comparison.
-Wears pauldrons with Cubone skull shoulder protectors. Allegedly, no Cubones were harmed in the making of said pauldrons (although we cannot guarantee they have been obtained with consent to said Cubones in question).


Name: Araneta Steelfin

Species: Empoleon

Gender: Female

Nature: Sassy

Characteristic: As a member of the Steelfin linage, a very prestigious breed of Empoleon, Araneta hold a very high profile even when battling, carrying her appearance as regally as her forbearers. Of course, in a team that lacks the conveniences of modern society and endless wealth, Araneta was forced to adjust her way of thinking in order to cope with the demanding life, even shedding her ornate dress of ice armaments and saving it for battles with a massive audience, looking much more plain and down to earth normally. She does have a motherly side, looking after younger teammates and straightening out troublemakers. She don’t take no sass and is a strong independent womanmon.

Ability: Torrent – In dire circumstances, Water type moves are empowered

Moveset: Substitute, Blizzard, Brine, Earthquake

Misc: Her center horn is a bit more ornate with its own trident.
-What people assume are metal parts on Empoleons are actually hardened ice on Araneta, shaped and smoothed to look both elegant and dangerous. But since being raised by Jemilie and living in Corus’s desert climate, she’s all but given up on maintaining the ice, requiring large amounts of energy to refreeze and resharpen. She looks more like a regular penguin most of the time until she steps on the battle floor…

Name: Sköll Anubis

Species: Riolu (shiny)

Gender: Female

Nature: Naive

Characteristic: One of the youngest of the team, Sköll tends to latch on to Ra, having essentially been raised by the Blaziken and shies away from others, though overtime she’s come to trust Jemilie and females like Araneta, who offer her comfort and kindness in opposition to Ra’s more grating demeanor. She tends to keep a scarf wrapped around her eyes, using mostly her innate aura abilities to navigate her day-to-day activities and training. As a result, she’s learned stronger energy attacks and can hold her own in battles against stronger, move evolved Pokemon, though in the end, she would rather just play and be a kid than participate in the endless power competition that is the team’s lifestyle.

Ability: Steadfast – Every time Sköll flinches, she becomes a little bit faster

Moveset: Detect, Focus Blast, Crunch, Blaze Kick

Misc: blehbleh

The pauldrons Ra wears are in homage to a friend’s character from my old Pokemon RPG. I just couldn’t resist when it was on the list of items they could wear.
